The 5th Stellar
Literary Festival was held June 26. We had
readers, performers &
literary
industry (publishers) and book vendors from London,
Brighton, Toronto, Haliburton,
and
surrounding areas. We had emerging poets, authors
and well established writers, and
newly
published poets & authors attending.
The festival
has been steadily growing.

"The Elephant That Wanted to Join
the Circus" has been released!!
People have been picking up the book! Thank you
everyone!
May 28 Graham in Haliburton at the
Haliburton Library, set up by his publisher,
Pine Lake Books, to read his The Elephant That Wanted to
Join the Circus, along with
other authors attending. Looking forward to it!
"Why Pigs Have Curly Tails" is underway and
should be out by September /
October.

Poetry in Libraries Month - held at Northview Oshawa
Library, Sponsored by
the League of Canadian Poets & Canada Council for the
Arts. There was a fantastic
turnout!! and everyone had an opportunity to read and
share their poetry.

Great News:
"The Elephant That Wanted to Join the
Circus." to be released mid 2011.
wonderful tale a young elephant decides he wants to
join the circus--to get lots of peanuts.
Along the way he meets other animals who have been in
the circus.
Young child children love the circus! What child would
not enjoy being read to or read this book?
In th meantime, the illustrations for Graham 2nd book
children's book, "Why Pigs Have Curly Tails".are
well underway! |

Graham Ducker was invited to speak about
his book Don't Wake The Teacher!
at the WEFLA International Conference in Holguin Cuba,
with delegate coming
from all over the world. Graham spoke about his
experience in a unique school
where he learned how to bring two cultures & language
development. He published
booklets to be distributed in Cuba which will be a great
aid to their teachers.
His book is now part of the
Primary Methods Research Department at the University Of
Holguin, Cuba

Trip to Cuba with the
Canada Cuba Literary Alliance
Group did workshops, poetry readings, sight seeing and
yes, a little beach time. ;-) |
