Between 1971 and 1975, the Colonel M.A. Colquhoun Chapter of
the I.O.D.E. adopted the Morson Public School.
During those years the ladies sent boxes with various gifts
ranging from mitts, hats, toques and candy to Christmas
presents to be shared.
While at Ministry Course in Toronto, I was able to meet with
them and share stories about the school.
Recently tentative inquiries were made as to the status of the
Brampton I.O.D.E. Chapter. It was a thrill to learn, that
although the Colonel M.A. Colquhoun Chapter has been closed, a
revitalized group is still in operation.
On Sunday Oct.28, in Brampton, we met with the group of nine
ladies who put on a delectable lunch.
History of and stories from the Morson School were shared.
Graham brought the ladies up to date about the Morson school
and recounted some of the tales and stories recorded in
his
book, Don't Wake The Teacher! A most delightful time was had
by all.
